Origin Xero Ltd (formerly Skyamara Ltd) offer product and technology management services to develop and implement green technology and drive growth for companies adapting net zero products or strategies.
This project is focused on the first steps in relation to the launch of a new transparent carbon offset platform using digital and smart farming technologies in large scale afforestation and marine projects.
Solution
Origin Xero recognises that there will be a long R&D path ahead as the global carbon market evolves to integrate digital technologies. The initial Enterprise Ireland innovation vouchers focused on the Origin Xero’s platform’s backend and frontend design, and priority features implementation. Forthcoming vouchers will lean increasingly towards deploying smart contract and AI driven features and training of Origin Xero staff on how to maintain the platform.
Impact for the company
Origin Xero is very much in its infancy. Owner Eoin O’Riordan comes with a wealth of experience in the sustainability, innovation & the global carbon marketplace. The Enterprise Ireland Innovation Voucher programme has presented Origin Xero with an excellent starting point. Not only is the company benefiting from the technical expertise of the Nimbus Gateway but is also getting up to speed on other Enterprise Ireland R&D funding programmes that will be relevant in the forthcoming years as the company starts to scale up.
